Conor McGregor BLASTS Khamzat Chimaev for weigh-in mishap! Urges Chechen to be CUT OFF from the UFC 279 card

Conor McGregor and Khamzat Chimaev

Khamzat Chimaev failing to make weight ahead of UFC 279 has rubbed many the wrong way and Irish superstar Conor McGregor is one of them. The UFC superstar is not happy with the UFC’s idea to keep Chimaev on the card instead of sending him home with no paycheck.

Conor McGregor might not be a saint in his real life but the fighter takes pride in being a professional in his career. McGregor is always ready to type away his thoughts in the form of tweets and today, Khamzat Chimaev falls victim to another Conor hate tweet. But unlike the many other hate tweets from the Irishman, the fans might just back him for this one.

Khamzat Chimaev went from being the most-liked fighter to the most-hated in the span of a single day. Going against a fan favorite and legend like Nate Diaz was already going to put Chimaev in the bad books of many but the fighter’s unprofessionalism during the weigh-in ahead of UFC 279 has truly ruffled some feathers.

Khamzat “Borz” Chimaev was initially supposed to headline the UFC 279 card alongside Conor’s former rival, Nate Diaz in the main event for a welterweight bout. However, Khamzat not making weight created a whole lot of drama in the promotion which led to an entirely different line-up in the main card of the pay-per-view event.

“My opinion they should have pulled khamzat from the card entirely. Reconfiguring bouts, and with a more favorable bout for the failed cutter, will only make many others in the game follow suit. The smirks on the scale where enough for me. Pull from the card and starve. McG UFC,” wrote Conor in his tweet regarding the Khamzat weight miss.

The fighter was also not happy with the fact that Khamzat talked all the smack leading up to the fight and then ended up being almost 8 pounds over the welterweight weight limit. Not only that, but Khamzat’s lethargic smile at the scale really seemed to put off Conor.

It seems like Conor was very much looking forward to watching his former rival, Nate fight in what could be his last outing as a UFC fighter. Conor also showered a lot of praise for Diaz and talked about a potential trilogy in another tweet of his.
