Saudi Arabia is the home of Muslims, with their holiest city, Mecca. Shockingly, the kingdom has lifted its seventy-two-year ban on alcohol and has opened a drinks shop in its capital, Riyadh. However, alcohol consumption was only limited to non-muslim democrats and not to everyone. Soon after this surprising disclosure, UFC star Conor McGregor eyed to extend his whiskey brand ‘Proper Twelve’ to Saudi Arabia.
In his latest tweet, Conor McGregor shared the news of Saudi Arabia lifting its alcohol ban. In the captions, he expressed his excitement and announced the country to prepare for his ‘Proper Twelve’ alcohol. However, he deleted the tweet for some reason. Here’s what he wrote:

Conor McGregor started his alcohol brand Proper Twelve in 2018, just before his showdown with Khabib Nurmagomedov. With the popularity and fan base of ‘The Notorious,’ fans welcomed the Irishman’s initiative. Also, McGregor promoted the whiskey brand worldwide. As such, it soon became a reputable brand among the spirit consumers. Now, he wanted to venture into Saudi Arabia after the country lifted its seven-decade alcohol ban.
As for his fighting career, Conor Mcgregor announced his return against Michael Chandler in June 2024 for International Fight Week. The UFC has yet to announce the fight officially. Moreover, Saudi Arabian official Turki Alalshikh has indicated interest in wanting Conor McGregor to fight in Saudi Arabia.
Conor McGregor summoned to disclose his Proper Twelve earnings
Conor McGregor reached the heights of the spirit world with his ‘Proper Twelve’ whiskey brand. As such, he and the other two shareholders sold 51% of the company to Proximo Spirits in 2021 for a whopping $600 million. After the news broke, Artem Lobov, a former friend of the Irishman, filed a lawsuit against McGregor. Now, amidst the investigations, John Glennon, the Deputy master of the High Court, ordered McGregor to disclose his earnings.

Artem Lobov claimed the idea of ‘Proper Twelve’ stemmed from his side and wanted his fair share out of the deal. As such, he allegedly stated he would get 5% of the profits owing to a verbal agreement between him and Conor McGregor in 2016. As such, the Deputy Master has summoned the documents related to the Irishman’s earnings in the sale of the company. Allegedly, the Irishman earned nearly $130 million in the deal.
Conor McGregor became a global star with his rise in the MMA. Soon, he used his popularity to venture into other streams to increase his net worth. As such, Proper Twelve was just the beginning. Now, he has extended his presence to Hollywood and is debuting in the film Road House. As such, the film will be released on 21 March 2024, and its first trailer was released recently and earned huge praise from the fans.
