Before coming into the UFC, Conor McGregor was fighting for Cage Warriors. He was very dominant in the promotion and also won the featherweight championship in 2012. His stellar performance in Cage Warriors prompted UFC to sign McGregor. The Irishman made his debut in 2012 against Marcus Brimage and went on to win eight consecutive fights. In 2015, McGregor fought Chad Mendes for the interim UFC Featherweight belt and won the fight. It was McGregor’s first-ever title in UFC which won with a spectacular knockout.
Later that year, McGregor got the opportunity to fight the UFC legend Jose Aldo for the championship belt. At that time, McGregor was at the top of his game and absolutely destroyed Aldo mentally with his verbal exchanges. In the fight, the Brazilian looked very sloppy and was down just in 13 seconds. It was considered as one of the biggest upsets of UFC history and everybody got to know about the phenomenon named McGregor.

It’s been exactly seven years since the ‘Notorious’ won the Interim featherweight belt against Mendes.
On this occasion, the former UFC double champion took to Twitter to share a thought with his fans and followers. McGregor explained how it has been seven years since he won his first UFC title and ten years since he got his first world title. The fighter revealed that since then he has undergone changes in his body. He tagged Straight Blast Gym in Ireland where he has trained all these years. McGregor mentioned that he has now grown as big as the Gorilla in the logo.
” I have just realized that 7 years after our first ufc world title together, and 10 years after our first mma world title, I have morphed into the sbg gorilla. @sbgireland ?,” wrote McGregor.
Back in 2015, McGregor was a featherweight and was shredded but currently, after his leg injury, he has bulked a lot. The fighter looks huge and weighs around 190 lbs.
