The historical bout between Floyd Mayweather and McGregor inspired several UFC fighters to want a piece of the boxing money. Ngannou, no different from any other stars from the UFC organization wanted to start a new venture in boxing.

However, the strict UFC contract clauses did not allow the fighter such leverage. Ngannou was in dispute with Dana White and the promotion for not allowing him to earn his own source of income outside the UFC. Ngannou was in talks with Tyson Fury for a super fight.

The odds of the Ngannou vs Fury fight happening are higher now given that the Cameroonian fighter is free to do what he wishes. In a recent exclusive interview with Ariel Helwani, Ngannou spoke about his boxing dreams still being alive.
