The rivalry between UFC stars Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz had always been an entertaining aspect of the sport. To this day, both fighters can be witnessed calling each other out, disregarding their two bouts. However, things have taken an unexpected turn as McGregor supported Diaz for his upcoming bout.
Nate Diaz is set to fight YouTuber Jake Paul in an exhibition bout. This much-anticipated fight has been a topic of conversation for fans and critics online. While the majority of fans predict Paul to emerge victorious, his long-time rival, Conor McGregor, has quite the opposite take.
In an interview with popular MMA journalist Ariel Helwani, the Irish superstar had thoughts on the bout.”I fancy him [Nate Diaz] for it to be honest,” said Conor McGregor as he predicts Diaz to win the bout. He continued, “He’s a donkey. The guy is a donkey. A donkey has a kick as well. So, you just gotta be worried about that.“
“It’s competitive, but it’s always been respect,” said the ‘Notorious’. As pointed out by Ariel Helwani, McGregor and Diaz seem respectful toward each other as their careers evolve. Fans are excited to witness the bout between Diaz and Jake Paul and see who emerges victorious in the ring.
When Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz went too far at press conference

The UFC 202 was a highly anticipated event. Headlining the event were Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz, facing each other off for the second time. Diaz emerged victorious in their first bout. Their rivalry grew deeper as time went on. One of the press conferences for the bout was proof of that.
As the press conference went on, a frustrated Nate Diaz walked off the venue. As he was toward the exit, he started a combative verbal exchange with McGregor. The ‘Notorious’ yelled, “Shut your f****** mouth you’ll do nothing,” as Diaz gave him the middle finger. “Get the f*** outta here,” yelled McGregor to Diaz.
The verbal exchange prompted the fighters to throw cans and bottles at each other. Ultimately, this started a riot between the respective teams that could have harmed the reporters and fans. Eventually, the press conference had to be ended. A disappointed Dana White said, “That’s a wrap, get ’em outta here.“
Since their bouts, Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor have always jabbed at each other. However, fans are astonished to see the Irish star supporting the Stockton native in his recent interviews and on social media platforms.
