The incident that started the Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov rivalry
UFC fighters Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov have had a long-standing rivalry. Their bout held in 2018 had Khabib winning via submission in round 4. Although, the fight did not put an end to their rivalry. Starting in 2018, the UFC Titans are still going back and forth.
However, the incident that started it all was Conor McGregor’s attack on a bus. The beef started when Khabib confronted fellow Russian fighter, Artem Lobov after he criticized ‘The Eagle.’ Conor being a loyal friend of Lobov’s, decided to visit Khabib. An enraged Conor picked up a trolley and threw it at a bus that Khabib was on. The throw injured the other staff members that were on the bus.
McGregor was then arrested and charged with multiple counts of assault. This incident was also fuel for the following bout. The ‘trolley’ incident was added to the UFC Embedded Vlogs as well. It caused a huge rivalry between the two and there is seemingly no end to it all.
