“Rats in my game” – Conor McGregor rips UFC veteran for insinuating Irishman used steroids for the speedy recovery
Conor McGregor Anthony Smith
Conor McGregor is recovering from the leg injury that he picked last year at UFC 264 while Fighting Dustin Poirier. He is well on his way to recovery and looks exceptionally bulky which has raised a few eyebrows.
Recently Anthony Smith appeared on Micheal Bisping’s Believe You Me Podcast and discussed McGregor’s recovery. Smith claims there is only one justification for avoiding USADA testing. He didn’t say it outright, but he made a suggestion that McGregor might be abusing steroids or other illegal substances. He further discussed that Chris Weidman, who picked up a similar injury before the Irishman, is still dealing with it.
Recently responding to Smith’s allegations Conor McGregor made a post on Twitter. McGregor seems upset with Smith claiming him to be a rat that is not happy that he recovered from the horrible injury. He wrote on Twitter, “This rat spoke to Weidman who’d the same horrific injury and is having severe complications still, is bothered that I was able to heal/return to a normal way of life. He, like many other rats in my game, would be happier if I wasn’t able to play with my children the same again.”
McGregor is well on the road to making his return next year. Although it is unclear which weight classes he will end up in when he returns. Many fighters are waiting to pick up a fight with him upon his return but Michael Chandler seems to be standing at the front of the row to face him.

Conor McGregor trolls Anthony smith by Posting a video of him limping
Anthony Smith last fought in the Octagon against Magomed Ankalaev in July of this year where he fell short in the second round. Further Trolling Anthony Smith on Twitter, the Notorious One posted a video of him limping after picking up an injury at UFC 277.
McGregor wrote on Twitter, “Hahahaah walk it off you little tick. Broken leg my bollox. Embarrassing!”
In addition to Smith’s defeat, which ended a three-bout winning streak, he shattered his leg during the fight. Soon after the fight, “Lionheart” had surgery on the limb and then carried on with his responsibilities as a UFC analyst.
Smith is currently on standby, heeding the advice of his doctors to refrain from any physical exercise. Smith had hoped to return in January, but he must first focus on getting back to 100 percent fit before even considering that possibility.
