Conor McGregor is the superstar of the UFC. He recently made news for reconciling with Joe Rogan after Rogan defended the UFC icon’s extravagant lifestyle. Their relationship had soured over Rogan’s previous statements about McGregor’s PED use.

Rogan has softened his critique of the Irish combat sports megastar as he recently praised McGregor’s retirement extravagance. He highlighted Conor McGregor’s young age while commending the luxurious billionaire lifestyle his fighting exploits could afford. This is what McGregor posted on his X account:

Love you Joe!

McGregor showed appreciation for the prominent podcaster switching gears to defend him. Rogan believes that McGregor has earned his decadent purchases of fast cars, designer fashion labels, and global properties. He thanked Rogan for spotlighting his capacity to enjoy the spoils from mammoth career earnings still shy of 35.

Rogan is upholding McGregor’s right to spend his vast combat sports fortune however he wishes.  Their short-lived beef now appears firmly squashed. Mutual respect endures between the long-time UFC figures. An appearance on Rogan’s infamously popular podcast could signify McGregor fully condoning Rogan’s altered perspective. It would represent reconciliation from one of UFC’s most influential figures.

Conor McGregor’s response to Joe Rogan on alleged PED use

Conor McGregor had blasted podcaster, Joe Rogan for joking that his urine would corrode drug testing cups. Rogan was alluding to suspicions of McGregor using banned substances during his injury absence from UFC.

Long-time UFC commentator Rogan quipped McGregor looked so phenomenally jacked lately that his urine could melt doping control cups. He was amplifying rumors from Anthony Smith, Justin Gaethje, and Dustin Poirier about McGregor’s sudden physical transformation. McGregor had exited UFC’s year-round drug testing program run by the USADA without competing since July 2021. However, no evidence exists explicitly confirming McGregor is doping.

The fiery McGregor swiftly fired back at Rogan on Twitter, mockingly stating the podcaster’s urine likely melts his undergarments. McGregor referenced Rogan’s mass gain over years embedded with UFC. McGregor maintained that he strategically exited testing purely to focus on recuperation from a broken leg. While Rogan’s lighthearted suspicion adds to the narrative, he possessed no conclusive evidence that McGregor was illegally enhancing his physique.

McGregor is slated to come back to the octagon this summer or fall against Michael Chandler. He re-entered the drug testing pool later in the last year and is now eligible to fight. The UFC-USADA partnership has however ended and the UFC now uses several independent agencies.
