Not only did Conor make a fortune in the UFC as a two-division champion, but the fighter also transcended sports and made possible the first-ever cross-promotional event between MMA and Boxing with his historic fight against Floyd Mayweather. On his return, Conor was very keen on owning a share of the MMA promotion.

After he was turned down the option of getting a cut of the UFC profits, Conor saw no other option but to call out one of the 23 celebrity investors in the UFC to a fight. Boston native, Mark Wahlberg was Conor’s pick and the Irishman continuously called out the actor for a fight with an exciting stake.

Conor had proposed interesting fight offers to the Hollywood superstar on his Twitter account. Surprisingly the tweets are still up for viewing despite the fighter’s tendency to delete controversial tweets.

“I’ve decided to challenge Hollywood actress Mark Walhberg next. A fight for all the shares!” wrote McGregor in one of his old tweets calling out the actor. “I challenge Mark Walhberg on the very same card. Back when mark wahlberg was marky mark, I’d’ve still slapped the ears off him and took my ufc shares back,” added McGregor in another tweet.

Despite constant efforts, the Irishman could not get the fight that he wanted back in 2019. The Hollywood actor has also responded to the fighter several times but has shown no interest in fighting the Irishman.

The Irishman, however, need not go out calling Hollywood actors to fight for a stake in the company as the UFC’s parent company finally went public in 2021 which meant the fighter could finally buy shares in UFC.
