Conor McGregor‘s new movie is about a UFC fighter who just made his premiere in Texas. Former UFC champion Sean Strickland recently shared his comments on the movie and the fighters in the UFC. Here is what happened:
Sean Strickland recently made his comments on Conor McGregor’s debut movie. Strickland took to X where he gave his review on Conor McGregor’s 1989 classic movie, Road House. Strickland wrote:

Conor McGregor’s movie Road House is a 2024 remake of the original 1989 film. The movie is about a former UFC fighter who now works as a security guard at a roadhouse bar in the Florida Keys. Hollywood actor Jake Gyllenhaal plays this character whose name is Elwood Dalton. Meanwhile, McGregor plays the antagonist whose name is Knox.
The world premiere of the ‘Road House’ remake just took place at SXSW in Austin, Texas. The premiere was held at the Paramount Theatre. The red carpet was packed with fans and celebrities which also led to some controversy at the premiere. According to reports, an emergency services team was called to the scene after a fight broke out in the crowd. However, the fight quickly ended and no one was seriously injured.
Sean Strickland criticizes Dana White and the UFC fighter pay
Sean Strickland is a former UFC middleweight champion. He has recently criticized the UFC’s fighter pay structure in a series of social media posts.
Strickland brought up Dana White and his relationship with the Nelk Boys. There are several videos of White gifting hefty amounts of money or expensive presents to the Nelk crew. Meanwhile, journalists and fighters alike have criticized the cut-throat fighter pay system that the UFC has in play.
Jake Paul is one of the many famous faces on the internet who have openly criticized Dana White and the UFC regarding this. Strickland said that the pay structure is not adequate and that many fighters have low earnings. He also said that fighters have limited options after leaving the sport. It will be interesting to see how Dana White who previously defended Strickland on the grounds of free speech, reacts to this latest criticism from his former champion.
