“You’ll make a man happy,” Controversial UFC star questions reporters sexuality in awkward interview

Disregarding his fighting abilities, Sean Strickland is one of the most controversial contenders in the UFC. His skillset in the octagon is often overshadowed by the contentious things he says. Stickland’s homophobic and misogynistic rants on Twitter have caused the fighter a lot of trouble.
In a resurfaced interview, Strickland is seen taunting a reporter. The reporter in question was John Eric Poli from MMA News. As he was seen wearing a pink polo t-shirt, ‘Tarzan’ was quick to poke fun at Poli. He also went on to question his sexuality due to his outfit. Although the reporter handled it well, the middleweight fighter constantly joked about the reporter and his outfit.
“It makes me a little nauseous,” said Sean Strickland in reference to the pink t-shirt. He then continued, “You’d be a good spokesman for Pepto Bismol. This guy got picked on a lot wearing this f****** shirt.” Strickland further took to questioning John’s marital status. When the reporter mentioned he was single, ‘Tarzan’ said, “I’m sorry, well, you’re gonna make a man happy one day.” He then asked, “Are you a gay? Nothing against the gays but this guy. He’s funny.“
“Not trying to be disrespectful to Pepto,” said ‘Tarzan’ pointing to the reporter. Middleweight fighter and controversial Sean Strickland is often known to throw disrespectful comments against other fighters. However, this time, it happened to be a reporter.
Sean Strickland’s hilarious insults at Israel Adesanya at UFC 276 press conference
UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya was set to take on Jared Cannonier. In the same card, Sean Strickland was set to fight ‘Izzy’s long-time rival Alex Pereira. Rather than focusing on ‘Poatan,’ Strickland took to insult Adesanya. A reporter questioned ‘Tarzan’ about the best striker on the card. This prompted Sean to poke fun at ‘The Last Stylebender.’
“I would say me. [best striker on the card] But, that man [Alex Pereira] was the one that slept that man. [Israel Adesanya] So, next to me, probably Alex,” said Sean Strickland. When Israel Adesanya rebutted, ‘Tarzan’ yelled in a sarcastic tone, “I made the champion mad with a f****** frosted tips and gay little watch.” “No one that b**** off to cartoons is gonna beat me,” said Strickland, referencing Izzy’s love for cartoons.
Despite going after Israel Adesanya, Sean Strickland lost his fight against Alex Pereira via a TKO in the first round. Although Izzy and Strickland are yet to fight, the back-and-forth they were involved in at UFC 276 was a hilarious and memorable watch for fans.
