Dan Lambert, the founder of MMA’s most reputed gym, American Top Team has a very interesting analysis of UFC’s new heel Khamzat Chimaev. The veteran believes the Chechen is perfect for the American audience.

Khamzat Chimaev is the new phenom in UFC. He’s something like we’ve never seen before and has absolutely taken over the MMA world by storm. The fighter from Sweden is a monster inside the octagon and comes in with the sole intention of killing his opponent.

In the very short time in the promotion, he has succeeded winning over the market and has become a huge superstar. The Chechen, however, in his recent fight at UFC 279 went from being the most-liked to the most-hated star in the UFC. Promotion experts like Dana White and Dan Lambert believe that this will only rise the stocks of Khamzat even higher.

Chimaev is now the villain of UFC which is only going to get him more incredible matchups. ATT’s Lambert believes Chimaev is ready to take over the American market even though he might not do well in the middle east, which has been very welcoming of Muslim athletes in the UFC. On the latest episode of “Punchin’ In”, Dan discusses Khamzat and his career going forward. Talking about the Chechen superstar, Dan said, “Even if he isn’t going to be the goose that lays the golden egg over there in the middle east as far as getting big money from those guys, he is going to sell over here.”
