The game UFC 5 was recently launched, gripping the MMA community. This fifth installment of the game boasts impressive graphics and enhanced gameplay. However, it is not without its shortcomings. UFC CEO Dana White offered a refreshingly candid response to a proposal to improve the game. At a Power Slap press conference, Alex Behunin from MMA Mania brought up this issue with Dana White, pointing out the notable absence of ranked fighters like Adrian Yanez, Sean Brady, and others.

In response, White asked for a list of characters that should no longer be present in the game. The suggestions included Paige Van Zant, Bruce Buffer, White himself, and, remarkably, Bruce Lee. White entertained all the suggestions and even found humor in the idea of his character being on the list. However, when Bruce Lee’s presence in the game came up, White initially responded with a sharp remark. This was in jest, of course. Dana White said

F**k you...I'll make it happen...me and Buffer out, Paige is out...okay...

One of UFC 5’s primary points of criticism revolves around the absence of many prominent UFC fighters from the current roster. While the game allows you to enter virtual combat with unique characters like Bruce Buffer, Mike Tyson, Bruce Lee, and even Dana White, it falls short in representing numerous fighters ranked within the top 15 of various weight divisions.

Nevertheless, Dana White’s comments implied that Bruce Lee would remain. It is important to emphasize that the final decision in these matters rests with EA Sports, and White’s influence is rather limited.

Dana White responds to potential Charles Oliveira and Islam Makhachev rematch

UFC CEO Dana White is hesitant to commit fully to rescheduling the highly anticipated bout between Charles Oliveira and Islam Makhachev. Oliveira originally had to face the reigning lightweight champion, Makhachev. This title fight rematch was for UFC 294, but Oliveira had to withdraw due to a significant injury he got during training.

Dana White remained cautious and refrained from confirming Oliveira’s immediate title shot. Instead, he emphasized that Oliveira’s return to competition would depend on the recovery from his injury. This is what Dana White said about the next lightweight title bout:

That’s all going to be determined by his cut…It was a pretty nasty cut. It was pretty deep…they sewed it up from the inside out, and hopefully that’s going to help it heal faster and heal properly.

Alexander Volkanovski stepped up on short notice to replace Oliveira. Makhachev secured a first-round knockout victory over the featherweight champion.

Oliveira had suffered a submission loss to Makhachev at UFC 280. However, he returned to the win column and earned himself a highly anticipated rematch with Makhachev. Islam Makhachev has multiple options to consider for his next opponent. Justin Gaethje and Dustin Poirier are all up for the challenge and so does UFC 294 backup Mateusz Gamrot.

In case you missed it!
