Dana White has been pretty busy promoting his slap tournament Slap, Power Slap in every way possible. White, who has great experience in taking UFC from a bankrupt organization to a billion-dollar business, is definitely the best person for this job. 

White has used all the modern marketing formats to promote the show, from making online adverts to posting content of power slaps on main UFC social media platforms. Other than that, White has also asked his celebrity friends to come to watch the show and give power slap a shoutout on social media. It was similar to Mike Tyson, who recently made an Instagram post congratulating White for the humongous success of Power Slap.

“Congrats Dana White on an incredible Power Slap event last night,” wrote Mike. Tyson is a good friend of White and both have a great amount of respect for each other. This might be the main reason why Tyson is willing to promote Power Slap on his official social media account.

Mike Tyson gets criticized for promoting Power Slap and Dana White gets into an online altercation with fans

After Mike Tyson made that post, the former heavyweight champion didn’t expect to receive so much backlash for it. Fans repeatedly commented about how slap fighting is not a real sport and that Tyson should not be associated with it. 

Many fans commented that calling Slap fighting a sport is a step backward in the history of mankind. In addition to that, many also mentioned the dangerous aspects of the showdown which can affect the players for life.

What surprised users more was that Dana White himself was in the comment section calling out others who were criticizing Slap League. White looked really annoyed by all the negative comments and didn’t stop himself from throwing some shade at others.

It seems like, White is currently obsessed with making Power Slap League successful and will not stop until he makes it. But with all that hate and criticism, it might be an easy task.
