Dana White is not a fan of Stephen Espinoza who is the president of Showtime Sports. White has for years criticized the company for having the worst production. White and Espinoza recently locked horns when the news of Paramount shutting down Showtime Sports came to light.
Now, in a recent Instagram story, White trolled with a video of a hilarious college football accident. In the video, the teammates of the college football team tumble over during their entry to the ground. White posted the video on his Instagram Story. This is what he captioned the video.
Showtime Sports and Espinoza went out of business. So now they are producing College Football!
Apparently, White used the accident to attribute it to the production of Showtime which White describes as inferior. Dana White and Stephen Espinoza recently traded barbs after news broke out of Showtime shutting down. White blasted Espinoza and heavily criticized the production in a press conference.
However, Espinoza fired back at White. Espinoza provided facts that they did a $20 million live gate thrice in 2023, which is something that the UFC has never done. When White heard of the comments made by Espinoza, he attributed Espinoza as a ‘scumbag’ for taking credit for the success brought by Ryan Garcia, Terrence Crawford, and Canelo Alvarez.
Dana White’s prediction came true at PFL 10 2023
Impa Kasanganay won the $1 million PFL 2023 light heavyweight tournament with a dominant win over Josh Silviera. Kasanganay had a short stint in the UFC where he went 2-2 which included a highlight reel knockout loss to Joaquin Buckley.
However, Kasanganay found his true calling at PFL where he is now undefeated. Kasanganay was born poor to the son of Congolese immigrants who settled in Florida. He fought twice in the Dana White Contender Series.
Dana White did not give a contract in his first appearance even though he won the bout. Interestingly, White predicted that Kasanganay will be the future of MMA and will have success in whichever promotion he signs with.
That prediction did not initially hold up as he went 2-2 in the UFC before being cut from the promotion. Nevertheless, the prediction came true 4 years after White made the claim in 2018 at Dana White Contender Series 26. Kasanganay was congratulated by many in the UFC. His former foe, Buckley was one of the first to congratulate him. Moreover, Gregory Rodrigues and Terrance McKinney also wished Kasanganay for his success.
