“Can’t hold guys hostage”- Dana White vehemently trashes down the allegation of keeping Nate Diaz “hostage”

Dana White and Nate Diaz

Dana White reacts to the comments made by Nate Diaz who is becoming increasingly agitated. Dana, the president of the UFC, has come under pressure from Diaz to get him out of his contract. To complete the required number of fights is the quickest method for a UFC athlete to leave the organisation. Diaz has said that he will retire after his next fight. He went on to say that the best opponent for his rumoured retirement fight was Dustin Poirier.

Poirier appeared to be on board from the looks of his social media posts. There is no agreement to terminate the fight between Diaz and his crew, though. White said that although a trilogy bout between Diaz and Conor McGregor is potentially plausible, Diaz-Poirier is scheduled.

White has reopened their verbal conflict by asserting that Paul should have pursued James Mckenzie Morrison, who recently knocked Rahman Jr. out. He stated, “ [Rahman Jr] just got knocked out, why not go after the guy who knocked him out?”

Diaz, who hasn’t fought since more than a year ago at UFC 263, claimed that he felt that the UFC was keeping him hostage because he still had one bout left on his contract. Dana responded upon the same wherein he stated, ““I’ve said this a million times and I’ll say it again — we can’t hold guys hostage. It’s not possible. I owe you three fights a year. If I don’t fight you three times a year, I have to pay you. How could I hold him hostage?” Here is the interview produced by MAC LIFE

Nate took to Twitter wherein he responded to the comments, he stated, “Dana said Francis Ngannou was injured and couldn’t fight right now Idk why he was so confused in interview. And in the last 9 months I been offered 0 fights and I asked for 5 legitimate opponents .. Thanks u for the kind words can I go now” Here is the sad Tweet:
