A recent event in the NYC tube caused a rift in the global community. Jordan Neely, who many claimed had been acting abnormally in the train, was choked by former Marine Daniel Penny. After evaluating the circumstances and the threat, Penny made the decision to take charge and choke Neely, which led to his demise.

Less than 24 hours after Manhattan prosecutors revealed the manslaughter charge, Penny was detained and later freed on a $100k bond. This further created a lot of havoc among people who were with contradictory opinions. UFC fighter Colby Covington, recently did an interview in which he spoke about the topic and mentioned Penny as a ‘Hero and Good Samaritan’.

He said: “It’s disgusting. You know, Daniel Penny is a hero, he’s a good samaritan. Obviously everybody on that train felt threatened by that Jordan Neely. I mean look at Jordan Neely’s past…He was obviously trying to subdue him…It happens in the UFC all the time… So, I don’t think it was just by any natural cause or choke…Maybe he was doing drugs.”

Covington being an MMA fighter gave examples of fighters often losing conciousness during chokes and waking up after that. The ‘Chaos’ then claimed that Neely might have been on some kind of drugs which caused the accidental death

It’s been a few weeks since the unfortunate death of Jordan Neely took place in the NYC F train. With a lot of people calling Daniel Penny the killer of Neely, many are showing full support towards the former Marine for standing up in the situation.

A 66 year old woman has come out to share her experience of what happened inside the train that day and in his testimony she called Daniel Penny a hero. She said: “The rhetoric from Mr. Neely was very frightening, it was very harsh…people were trying to call 911 when they were in the train … I sensed danger. I think Mr. Penny deserves a chance … Mr. Neely, he gave people cause to feel that their life was being threatened. He didn’t care…I consider [Daniel Penny] to be a hero.”
