Drake aims to recover from the huge Jake Paul loss as he bets $500k on Jon Jones ahead of UFC 285
Drake is no mood to stop betting on fights. Last week the rapper lost a massive $400K doing the same.

Everyone is aware of Drake’s gambling habits at this point. Last week, the rapper bet $400K on Jake to beat Tommy Fury in their boxing match. To no one’s surprise, the Drake Curse did not spare Jake Paul this time, and he lost the fight. Drake, however, does not appear to have learned his lesson, as the Canadian rapper has bet a total of $500K on Jon Jones to win at UFC 285.
He took his Instagram handle to share the tickets of the same. Drake has bet $250K of his total bet of $500K on Jones submitting the French fighter and the other half on Gane being knocked out via KO. If Jones submits Gane, Drake will receive 1.7 million dollars, and if Jon manages to knock Gane out, the rapper will earn 1.3 million dollars.
Fighters who have been victim to Drake’s betting curse include Jorge Masavidal vs. Colby Covington and Justin Gaethje vs. Charles Oliveira. Aside from them, one of the biggest names who has fallen victim to Drake’s curse in his fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov is none other than the Notorious Conor McGregor. In fact, Conor was the first victim of Drake’s curse in the UFC.
Many viewers might also compare Conor and Jones’ situation to Drake’s bet. Jones and McGregor were both making their ring comebacks after lengthy breaks. However, Paddy Pimblett and Molly McCann, on whom Drake had a bet, recently won in their fights at UFC London. Drake then gave the two expensive Rolex watches as gratitude for ending his curse.
Former rival Chael Sonnen predicts Jon Jones to win at UFC 285
Chael Sonnen and Jon Jones’s rivalry dates way back to 2013 when Jones knocked Sonnen out in the first round of their fight at UFC 159. Respecting the rivalry, Sonnen has criticized Jones’s physique ahead of his heavyweight debut.
Chael revealed that he had high expectations for Jon’s physique considering the fighter took three long years to get naturally big for his heavyweight debut. “We got a chubby Jon Jones. I was expecting a shredded Jones that would speak to the vanity of Jones,” said the bad guy. However, in his recent YouTube video, Sonnen did predict Jones to be the winner against Ciryl Gane. “Jones vs. Ciryl, I’m putting their curse on Jones,” stated Sonnen.
It will be intriguing to watch whether the GOAT, Jon Jones, will lay all the curses to sleep this weekend or if he will be affected by two of the largest curses in the MMA industry. Hence, fight fans should not miss blessing their eyes with Jon Jones fighting after 3 years.
