The fight against Justin at UFC 278 makes sense for Dustin right now. After his loss against Charles Oliveira, Dustin claimed that his days at lightweight are numbered and it would be logical for him to have one of the biggest rematch in his career. Despite their losses against Charles Oliveira and Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin and Dustin are one of the most popular fighters in the lightweight division and the rematch fight can be one of the biggest draws that can be made outside of a title bout.

Listen, we make fights, I got to make fights, think about this, I have to make three fights a year for everybody on the roster. So, nobody’s just sitting around going, ‘oh, I can’t find a fight. Why can’t I get a fight?’”
