Dustin Poirier can arguably be called one of UFC ‘s heavily skilled fighters. With his recent win over Michael Chandler ‘The Diamond ‘ stood up to his nickname. But, according to a fan on Twitter, Dustin has an iconic move that guarantees him a win every time he uses it. Is it the notorious calf kicks he used against Conor, his barrage of fists against Dan Hooker or maybe one of his elite Jiu-jitsu techniques? It’s none of those and the answer might leave laughing.
After his win over Michael Chandler, Poirier is yet to announce a new fight. However, all of his fights are so entertaining that you can watch them several times. Recently one of Poirier’s fans pointed out that Poirier has won every fight with the opponent he did the move against. His particular move of fixing his shorts during the fight has coincidentally won him the fights. The fan posted on Twitter a collage of every fight Dustin fixed his pants in the Octagon. The caption read, “When Dustin Poirier does the “you done messed up now fella” move, you’re in trouble”.
Many people on Twitter found this coincidence very funny and reacted. Dustin Poirier was also impressed with his eagle-eyed fan and felt the need to explain. Dustin Poirier replied to his fan “Shits be a little tight sometimes“. This reply only added to the comedy of the situation.
The iconic shorts fixing is currently 5-0 in the UFC against the likes of Dan Hooker, Justin Gaethje, Conor Mcgregor and Michael Chandler and more. Justin Gaethje wants a rematch against Poirier after his win over Rafael Fiziev. Until that news is confirmed we can only wait and speculate who will the Louisiana native fix his shorts against next.

Dustin Poirier signed a multi-year marketing partnership with his own branded Poirier’s Louisiana Style. Prior to his fight with Michael Chandler, Poirier signed a deal with UFC. This deal makes Poirier’s Louisiana Style UFC’s first and official hot sauce. According to this deal, Poirier’s hot sauce became the official partner of UFC, with branded content featured across UFC’s social media and digital platforms.
Dustin Poirier released his hot sauce in 2020, in collaboration with Heartbeat Sauce. Poirier’s Louisiana Style was making rounds at the press conference for Poirier vs Mcgregor 2 first. Since then Dustin has expanded his hot sauce empire with two new versions ‘the K.O. Edition ‘ and the ‘Creole Maple‘.
During the Poirier vs Chandler press, release Dustin expressed his views on the partnership. “It means a lot to have Poirier’s Louisiana Style named the first-ever Official Hot Sauce of UFC”, said Poirier.
Along with his hot sauce Poirier already owns and runs his own charity foundation called the Good Fight Foundation. Dustin feels it’s all about building a legacy for his family and his community. With his new partnership, Dustin joins the list of UFC who partnered with UFC to promote their brands. Some of the members include fighters like Conor Mcgregor for his Proper No. 12 Irish whiskey and Tai Tuivasa’s, beer Drink West.
