Dustin Poirier gives update on Charles Oliveira donation
Dustin Poirier proves he is a man of his word. “The Diamond” provides an update about his donation promise to Charles Oliveira, made at UFC 269.
Dustin Poirier has a fit response to fan who alleges he didn’t fulfil his promise of donating to UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira. Poirier is known to stay active on his social media accounts and never shies away from an interaction. Poirier responded to a fan who wrote, “Ain’t no way the dude who ducked the donation to Charles is calling others fake.”
Poirier responded to the allegation and confirmed that he donated a part of his salary to Oliveira’s choice of charity. Poirier said he would donate $20k to the charity of Oliveira’s choice. Oliveira has been bothered with questions about Poirier donating since the fight in December 2021. Poirier confirmed recently that he has paid everything. “Paid in full” wrote Poirier on Twitter.
Dustin Poirier lost the fight to Charles Oliveira via submission in the third round at UFC 269. Oliveira submitted Poirier in the third round to put an end to Poirier’s championship dreams.

Dustin Poirier receives charity from Khabib Nurmagomedov
Dustin Poirier and Khabib Nurmagomedov fought each other at UFC 242. This was Poirier’s first chance to be crowned the undisputed lightweight champion. Khabib, however won the fight and defeated Poirier in the third round via submission. Dustin got very close to becoming the champion and was devastated.
In the post-fight octagon interview, former lightweight champion, Khabib offered to donate to Poirier’s charity by selling his fight shirt on auction. Nurmagomedov, later donated a hefty sum of $100k to Dustin’s The Good Fight Foundation, run by the Louisiana fighter and his wife, Jolie Poirier.
Conor McGregor, the biggest rival of Dustin got into an infamous beef with Poirier over donation to The Good Fight Foundation. Conor promised to donated $500k to Dustin’s foundation but was later called out by “The Diamond” for his false promise.
