“Wut da helllll,” Dustin Poirier shares a HORRIFYING photo of his staph infection and provides an update on the situation
Dustin Poirier
Dustin Poirier last fought Michael Chandler at UFC 281. Poirier and Chandler gave their all inside the octagon, and after a constant back and forth, Poirier powered through and sunk in the rear naked choke in the 3rd round to get the victory.
While Poirier was recovering from the injuries he sustained during the fight, he encountered a nasty staph infection. This affected his left foot, and Poirier was admitted to the hospital. It was later revealed that antibiotics had no effect on the condition, and Poirier used Twitter to update his fans. He has shared an image of his foot, and it looks as horrifying as you can imagine.
While fans are concerned about his well-being, Poirier is being closely monitored by the doctors, and he is expected to recover soon. This infection reignited his beef with Conor McGregor, and these two had a pretty entertaining banter on Twitter.
Dustin Poirier offers to ‘beat the sh*t’ out of Nate Diaz as their beef intensifies
Conor commented on Poirier’s Tweet about being hospitalized, and Dustin reminded him about their last two fights. While they were exchanging insults, Nate Diaz swooped in and took a shot at both of them. Replying to a post, he wrote, “You both get knocked out all the time.”
Poirier and Diaz share an unpleasant history, these two were booked to fight at UFC 230 back in 2018, but Poirier had to pull out from the fight because of an undisclosed injury. Their beef reignited after almost 4 years when Diaz was on the verge of retirement. They rallied for a fight against each other, but once again it never materialized.
Now Diaz is out of the organization, but Poirier would love for him to back come, and get his a** whooped one last time. Replying to Nate’s comment, he wrote, “Come back for 1 fight and I’ll beat the sh*t outta you bruh.“
Nate was recently removed from the UFC roster, and it was an emotional moment for fight fans around the world. Even though he wants to explore some more options, a money fight against Poirier doesn’t sound too bad. Maybe that is a reason good enough for him to come back.
