While Joe Rogan isn't a fan of California, Elon Musk isn't a fan of work load & info propagation.

Joe Rogan and his The Joe Rogan Experience podcast remain highly popular among the netizens. Rogan recently inked a new multiyear deal with Spotify, reportedly worth around $250 million, with streaming stipulations for his podcast. Elon Musk has appeared on the JRE. Rogan has a close friendship with Musk. The duo discussed various topics on the JRE.

Their collaboration went viral. Rogan shooting an arrow at his Cybertruck caught fan interest. Rogan asked why Musk purchased Twitter and renamed it to X. This is what Musk replied:

I mean, this is going to sound somewhat melodramatic, but I was worried that it was having a corrosive effect on civilization... I mean, part of it is that it’s where it was located, which is, you know... downtown San Francisco..... if you walk around downtown San Francisco, right near the X/Twitter headquarters, it’s a zombie apocalypse. I mean, it’s rough...It’s crazy...

Rogan’s time on Spotify has remained controversial. Numerous artists boycotted the streaming platform, only to later return. However, influential personalities like Musk stood by him. This was on the issue of propagation of COVID misinformation. The two have remained in touch, both before and after the fallout of the $100,000 debate offer to vaccine scientists, after a controversial RFK Jr. podcast. As such, they maintain a healthy dose of acknowledgment. To his remarks, Rogan replied:

I don't think you're being melodramatic at all, I mean I don't wanna be melodramatic..But, It's almost like a death cult!

Musk instigated that the practice was a niche method of geographically constraining people and propagating information, almost like a ‘mind virus.’ Rogan agreed to this, having had to face cancellation many times. While they both lauded San Francisco, Rogan has his own set of grievances against California.

Joe Rogan says he is glad he left California

Podcast giant Joe Rogan lived in California for about 25 years. He moved there in 1994 to pursue a career in stand-up comedy and acting and lived in the state until 2020. After that, Rogan moved to Texas. In a recent episode of his podcast, Rogan and tech celebrity Elon Musk pondered the changes to the locale and the infamous ‘X’ headquarters.

However, the podcaster has his own set of problems with the state. On the JRE MMA Show #2032, he weighed in on why he was glad to leave California. This was with BJ Penn/former US Representative, Iraqi veteran, and political commentator Tulsi Gabbard a few days earlier. He said the state of California handled the pandemic poorly. There was no freedom for the people at the time. This made him move to Austin, Texas. Rogan believed moving to Texas was the best thing for him as he loved living there.

This mirrors a greater trend, as evidenced by the U.S. Census Bureau on state-to-state migration. This shows that California has lost tens of thousands more residents than it has gained in the last few years.
