“265, heavy in the bank!” – Ex- lightweight champion Conor McGregor SURPRISINGLY reveals how much he weighs at the moment

Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor is the biggest superstar to have ever graced the octagon, and as such, any detail on his fighting, or personal life demands attention.

One such detail that has continually perplexed fans, and fighters alike, for the past year or so, is his weight. If you didn’t know, Conor McGregor set out to avenge his defeat against Dustin Poirier in early 2021; at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, the night did not pan out the way he would have wanted to – while stepping back to deflect, he snapped his shin in half and the fight was subsequently ruled a Doctor’s Stoppage TKO in Poirier’s favour.

Since, McGregor has regularly posted pictures and videos of his private life, but more so, of his recovery from the gnarly injury. The thing that has stood out the most is his muscle bulk, which has given him a buffed-up appearance. Owing to that, fans have begun to wonder how much he weighs at the moment.

That question was answered by the man himself, when asked this by Yoel Romero, on an Instagram livestream. He said, “Let’s say I’m 265, ye? 265, heavy in the bank.

Obviously, this was a joke – 265 pounds is the weight at which a heavyweight fights. If one were to take a guess, he could probably weigh around 190-200 pounds at the moment. Speaking about the bank, he probably hilariously meant his net worth (in millions, that is!).

While it is all banter, one could gauge that fans weren’t getting fooled so easily by McGregor’s stated figure. However, the common trend across the replies on the webpage that had recorded this stream was to notice the change in size that the Irishman has undergone.

As Dana White confirmed, McGregor has not been part of the USADA testing pool for about a year now. And, a fighter needs to be tested for at least six months before they can step into the octagon. Sadly, for MMA fans, this means that we won’t see Conor McGregor in action till about early June, at the latest.
