Khabib Nurmagomedov recently returned to the limelight, tweeting about his list of the top 15 MMA fighters. However, he did exclude his hated rival Conor McGregor from the list. Khabib finds himself in the headlines for his collaboration with the Metaverse Gameplay. He took to Twitter to excite the fans about the Metaverse gameplay about his involvement with the Metaverse.
Khabib Nurmagomedov wrote, “Ready to explore the Gameplan metaverse with me? Let’s go.” Last year, Metaverse announced the team-up with UFC to bring MMA into the Metaverse. Not only can the fans watch UFC in virtual reality but talk to other users as well. Khabib has an immense popularity. Hence, it makes sense for Metaverse to partner with the retired UFC fighter.
After amassing a decorated career, Khabib retired with a 29-0 record in 2020. Since then, he has followed in the footsteps of his legendary father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, to coach other Dagestan fighters. However, at the end of last year, Khabib took a break from coaching gigs to spend more time with his family. He was noticeably absent from the corner of Islam Makachev at UFC 284 in Australia.
Khabib has yet to decide to return as a coach; however, in his absence, Islam Makachev has replaced him as the face of the Dagestan MMA scene. Makachev is slated to fight in the UFC Abu Dhabi PPV card later this year, but UFC has not decided on an opponent. Surely, Khabib’s involvement will bring tons of attention to the Metaverse gameplay.
Fans React to the Involvement of Khabib Nurmagomedov in Metaverse Gameplay

Nothing more is known about Khabib’s involvement or other fighters in the Metaverse plans for UFC collaboration. Fight fans will hope to uncover more details as the project develops.
