Jamahal Hill went on face to face with Glover Teixeira for the vacant UFC light Heavyweight championship at UFC 283 after the disappointing ending at UFC 282. The first round saw Jamahal Hill dominating the proceedings with the Brazilian failing at several takedowns.

Hill even managed to end several good shots throughout the round. As the second round began Teixeira managed to land some good kicks but eventually fell on the receiving end of some brutal kicks from Hill. The Brazilian then managed to take the fight to the ground with a successful takedown but Hill got out of it as the round came to an end.

In the third round, Teixeira again wanted to take the fight to the ground with a takedown but failed to do so and got hit by another brutal kick to his head which left him busted. In the fourth round, Hill again dominated Teixeira but the Brazilian was resilient enough to survive the round. The same continued in the fifth round as the Brazilian was just on the receiving end of Jamahal Hill‘s beating.

In the end, Jamahal Hill emerged victorious from the fight and was crowned the new champion of the light heavyweight division. Following the gruesome battle Glover Teixeira declared his retirement from the sport in the post-match interview. However, there was no fan left in the arena during his announcement as almost every Brazilian fan left seeing Glover Teixeira on the losing end of the fight.

Twitter users and other MMA fighters have trolled the Brazilian fans for leaving the arena early and failing to pay respect to the veteran fighter. The veteran fighter has been in UFC since 2012 and was a household name in the division since his debut. Throughout his career, he was part of some of the greatest fights inside the octagon and even managed to capture the UFC light Heavyweight championship once.

As for Jamahal Hill, he is now the new Champion of the Light heavyweight division and looks formidable in UFC with just one loss to his name through his MMA career. Jiri Prochazka has already made his intentions clear to come for Jamahal and his gold. Only time will time if the former champion can recapture the gold.
