Khamzat Chimaev has not fought since his submission victory over Kevin Holland last year. UFC will attempt to book Chimaev in a Middleweight contest against Paulo Costa in Abu Dhabi. However, Chimaev confirmed on Twitter about becoming the ambassador for the first Islamic Cryptotoken. Khabib Nurmagomedov recently announced his association with another Cryptocurrency. It appears Chimeav has followed Khabib’s footsteps in securing a cryptocurrency deal.
Khamzat Chimaev wrote, “I’m the new ambassador of @caizcoin. The First Islamic Cryptotoken! Go smash the Follow button!!!!” Fighters securing crypto sponsorship has become a new norm. In the past, fighters received sponsorships from Athletic brands, Beverages, and Fast Food chains. Daniel Cormier had endorsements with the Popeye brand. Bo Nickal receives subsidies from Logan Paul’s Prime. Israel Adesanya has a contract with Puma.
Khabib Nurmagomedov recently revealed his involvement with a cryptocurrency and got blasted on social media. Fans pointed out that these sponsorships secure their revenue through gambling. Gambling is considered haram in the Islamic faith. Khabib also revealed his involvement with Metaverse, partnering with Mark Zuckerberg in their deal with the UFC.
Chimaev will fight later this year in Abu Dhabi. He struggled to make weight in the Welterweight division and decided to join the Middleweight division. UFC will give him the title shot if he can secure two victories against the top-ranked opponents.

Chimaev got blasted by the fans for securing a crypto deal. They felt that Chimaev ruined his reputation by promoting these cryptos. The general population has cast doubts on cryptocurrencies. The fall of the FTX cryptocurrency is still fresh in people’s memory. Hence, fans did not appreciate Chimaev’s endorsement of the product.
