Charles Oliveira is sharpening his tools ahead of his much-anticipated lightweight title fight against Islam Makhachev. If you thought Oliveira was already dangerous, the Brazilian is training to sharpen his wrestling skills as well.
Charles Oliveira vs Islam Makhachev is the biggest fight of the year so far. With so many storylines into play ahead of this fight and considering what is at stake for both the fighters, you couldn’t write a better script for the title matchup. The two will face each other in the main event of UFC 280 which takes place at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi.
This is arguably one of the greatest stylistic matchups in the history of the division. Oliveira proposes a huge threat with his striking and submission while Makhachev is a dominant force when it comes to the ground. Critics who give the Dagestani a chance in the upcoming fight give him the edge because of his wrestling.
Recent footage shows “Do Bronx” training at Chute Boxing and practicing his wrestling for his test against Makhachev. The video shows the Brazilian taking down his training partner with a slick move which has put the fans in a frenzy. Oliveira fans are eagerly waiting to see him pull this off against Makhachev.

Both the fighters are undoubtedly the best in the division. Oliveira is on an 11-fight winning streak while Makhachev is on a 10-fight winning streak. big Charles fan here. Hes not hitting this on islam. Islam freakishly big and strong. This guy he threw tiny af. I think Charles wins this just isnt gonna be it. If he really wanted to prepare he'd be working against guys much bigger than him with decorated wrestling back grounds
