Fans strongly believed 2022 was going to be the year the world would get to see Jones as a heavyweight fighter. There is nothing left to prove for Jon in the light heavyweight division. If his name is not already etched in the history books as the “Greatest“, winning a belt in heavyweight would only make it more undisputable. Check out some of the fans’ hilarious reactions to Jones’ recent tweet.

Jon Jones’ last fight in the octagon was back in February 2020 at UFC 247. Jones defended his light heavyweight title against Dominick Reyes in a close five-round fight. Since then fans have been waiting for the fighter to return as a heavyweight.

Jones went through contract disputes with the company. He was also rumored to fight the former champ, Stipe Miocic. The biggest fight of them all, however, is still Francis Ngannou. Fans are growing impatient over waiting for a Jones vs Ngannou title fight.
