There was no one better to main event the London Fight Night card than Tom Aspinall. The British heavyweight fighter made his return to the UFC after spending a year away with a gruesome injury. He fought veteran Marcin Tybura in the main event of the London Fight Night card. Tom Aspinall wasted no time as he hunted for the finish from the first second and got the finish in under 90 seconds at UFC London. Fans wondered if Tom Aspinall could face Jon Jones in the future.

Aspinall started with an insane head kick to start the bout. He was too fast and too quick for the Polish fighter. Tybura could not close the range and struggled to implement his game plan. On the other hand, Aspinall kept on landing strikes, and a flush right hand knocked Tybura down. The British fighter hunted for the finish with heavy ground and pound until the referee stopped the fight.

Last year in London, Aspinall suffered a knee injury in the first minute of the fight against Curtis Blaydes. It hampered his progress, and had to wait a year before returning to the octagon. Aspinall indicated his desire to compete against the winner of the bout in France between Ciryl Gane and Sergey Spivac. Tom Aspinall also hopes to fight Jon Jones for the title one day.

On the other hand, Marcin Tybura continues to struggle against the top fighters in the heavyweight division. He lost to top-tier talents like Derrick Lewis, Fabricio Werdum, and Alexander Volkov in the past. Now, his loss to Aspinall remains proof that he is not a championship-level fighter. He will not get cut and possibly compete again in the UFC.

Fans said he had a legitimate chance at defeating Jon Jones for the heavyweight title. They also hoped to see Aspinall fight Sergei Pavlovich and Ciryl Gane in the near future. Aspinall could be one win away from fighting for the UFC gold.
