Fans suggest an INFAMOUS MMA REFEREE for the brawl between Nate Diaz and Khamzat Chimaev
Khamzat Chimaev Mario Yamakasi Nate Diaz
Fight fans wants Mario Yamakasi to refree the fight between Nate Diaz and Khamzat Chimaev. Mario Yamasaki is half Japanese and half Brazilian and was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. His family has a history of martial arts and he started his training for Judo at a very young age. Later, Yamazaki shifted to Jiu Jitsu and trained for many years under several teachers. Yamasaki holds a 5th-degree black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu as well as a black belt in Judo.
Yamasaki along with his brother started working for the Ultimate Fighter Championship way back in 1988. They helped the promotion organise and market the first Brazilian UFC event. Initially, Yamasaki had no intentions to become a referee but when UFC was searching for referees, Yamasaki took the opportunity and the rest is history.
Up until now, Yamasaki has refereed around 400 professional MMA fights in various promotions. Yamasaki is extremely popular among fighters and fans around the world and they know him distinctly for the heart sign that he makes while in front of the camera.
That’s the thing that makes Yamasaki famous but it is his controversial moments while refereeing the fights. In general, Yamasaki is infamous for his ruthless attitude as he tends to let the fight continue even if the fighter has already given up. It has led to many fighters taking serious beatings even after losing consciousness.
Mario Yamasaki might be the referee in Nate Diaz vs Khamzat Chimaev fight
Khamzat Chimaev will be taking on Nate Diaz at UFC 279 in September and the fight has attracted a lot of mixed reactions. However, the other thing that is more interesting is that fans want Mario Yamasaki to come out of his retirement and be the referee in the fight.
Recently there has been a meme made on an MMA page that has gathered a lot of attention for being funny as well as brutal. The meme suggested that Yamasaki is being considered to referee the fight between Diaz and Chimaev next.

The fight is already being majorly considered to be one-sided with many fans siding with Chimaev to win. The ‘Borz‘ is currently in an amazing form and known for his ruthless approach in the fight. On the other hand, Diaz has not been at his best in the last couple of his fights. Fans are claiming that Diaz will get absolutely destroyed by Chimaev and Yamasaki as a referee would make matters worse.
