Chimaev was mocked by fans and fighters alike for his weight miss

Khamzat Chimaev’s weight blunder against Nate Diaz might be the biggest 180 a fighter has taken in terms of his reputation. Chimaev who until last month was known for being an unrelenting fighter has disappointed many with his antics this week. With his weight miss, the bout between Nate and Khamzat cannot be sanctioned under the provisions of the NSAC

Khamzat Chimaev was under heavy fire this week, mainly because he kept picking fights with fan favourites, like Paulo Costa and Kevin Holland. However it all came to a head when a scuffle between him and Holland transpired into an all-out brawl between his entourage and that of Diaz with almost a hundred people involved. This led to the cancellation of the press conference.

Fans turned on the undefeated fighter quickly as he was not able to live up to his word of being ever ready to fight. The whole scenario may just have ended up bringing in more publicity and intrigue to an otherwise lackluster Pay-Per-View for this time of the year.
