EA’s UFC 5, the combat sports game is soon releasing within this month. The fourth installment of the UFC game was released three years ago. The release of the trailer by the developers faced much backlash from fans due to substandard graphics and no visible likeness to playable fighters. The spotlight, however, is on Conor McGregor himself. As of the latest, the EA franchise has taken to X to release official stats.
“45 GROUND GAME…,” said one tweet mockingly. Other comments have refuted that the playable character’s ground game is by no means bad, and is optimal. “His 45lb character should easily be 5 stars,” said another. The fans have called the character graphics a washed-up version of McGregor, with no resemblance to the real McGregor. Others have called upon the fact that he should have a 5-star score, not 4.5
Despite mixed reactions, UFC 4 was later promoted to one of the best fighting games, with plentitudes of features to choose from. It had garnered a gradual warm response from MMA fans worldwide. Meanwhile, UFC 5 boasts many new promises. A groundbreaking Real Impact System promises an array of over 64,000 possible facial damage combinations, possible emotive combinations, and fight aminations. Cutscenes and potential stoppages are also a vital part of the new life-like storytelling. Striking and reactive abilities are also getting new upgrades.
EA SPORTS™ UFC® 5 will see its launch on October 27, 2023, for PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game promises definitive and authentic life-like gameplay, with maximized accessibility and output for all modern consoles. CEO Dana White had promised it to be a true next-generation UFC experience.
Fans react to UFC 5 Conor McGregor statistics
With the upcoming release of UFC 5 on the horizon, fans of the MMA community have high expectations from the game. Formerly shunned, UFC 4 grew into the mold of a great fighting game through the years. As such, UFC 5 has big shoes to fill. On the playable front, Conor McGregor is explicitly made as a legacy character that has specialized access.
