UFC flyweight contender Muhammad Mokaev recently uploaded a video on social media. It is a video of him training with the former UFC bantamweight champion, Petr Yan. However, the video had fans playfully ridiculing the duo.
What seems to have gotten to netizens was the title Mokaev chose to write for the video. Mokaev credited Petr Yan as the best boxer in the 135lbs division in the UFC. This caught the eyes of netizens, who flocked to the comment section to tease and make fun of Mokaev. Meanwhile, Mokaev and Yan only did a conditioning drill during one of their training sessions.

Petr Yan has not won a fight since 2021. He lost to Aljamain Sterling, Sean O’Malley, and Merab Dvalishvili in the last three bouts. Yan will hope to bounce back in 2024 and once again contend for the title. On the other hand, Mokaev remains undefeated in his MMA career. He has good wrestling skills. If he can improve his striking skills, he could reign as the flyweight champion for a long time.
Petr Yan has an upcoming fight against Song Yadong at UFC 299. Yadong has become one of the best young fighters in the division. Hence, Yan could regain his confidence with a win over Yadong. On the other hand, Mokaev will fight former title challenger Alex Perez as he takes another step closer to a title shot.
