Jake Shields, an MMA veteran believes commenting on Kyrie Irving and Kanye West could get active UFC fighters out of contract.

Kyrie Irving and Kanye West are in hot waters for their anti-semitic stance. The two stars are being blasted on the internet and are in deep trouble for not backing up their controversial opinion. Derek Brunson, UFC middleweight is not up to the news though. The fighter put out a tweet asking for a quick summary of the current controversy.

Jake Shields, the former UFC fighter who is known for his controversial tweets warns Brunson on commenting about “Jews”. Shields believes Irving and West do not deserve this treatment as he responds to Derek Brunson. “I don’t think they said much but you better not either or Disney will get your UFC contract dropped,” wrote Shields.

The Walt Disney Company now owns a majority stake in ESPN, the platform in which UFC fights are broadcasted. “I think Kyrie just tweeted a link to a [movie] of black people claiming they were Jews and I guess they don’t like that,” added Shields in his tweet.

Jake Shields, who is part of the Nick Diaz team has always been very vocal about his opinions. The former fighter is very active on Twitter and doesn’t back down from getting into exchanges on the app. According to Shields, the backlash that Kyrie Irving is having to face is not fair.

In one of his tweets, Jake writes, “He apologized then donated 500k to a Jewish organization and was still suspended for five games Kanye and [Kyrie] made it clear that one group is behind criticism.” The NBA player is now expected to be banned for the next five games of the NBA 2022-23 season.

Shields was part of the UFC from 2010 to 2014. In his UFC run, he went 4-3 and has fought elite welterweight fighters like Georges St-Pierre, Demian Maia, and Tyron Woodley. Shields was also the former Strikeforce middleweight champion and former Elite XC welterweight champion.
