UFC commentator and popular podcaster Joe Rogan‘s popularity has risen immensely over the past few years. With the $200 million migration to Spotify, Joe Rogan has gained billions of listeners to his podcast. That’s not all, the fighter turned podcaster is also known for his stand-up comedy career.
In an episode of the ‘Joe Rogan Experience,’ Garrett Reisman was a guest. For those uninitiated, Reisman is an American Engineer and former NASA astronaut and was a member of the STS-132 mission that traveled to the International Space Station. In the podcast, Garrett made profound comparisons between Russian and American space food.
When Joe asked about food consumption in space, Garrett Reisman said “So you got basically 2 choices. You have the American food which is MREs like Military Freeze Dried.”
Then, the former NASA astronaut went on to compare it with Russian food, “The Russian food is also based on their military rations from submarines.” He further added, “The Russian food tastes better, the problem is the presentation.”

Former NASA astronaut Garrett Reisman is known for flying on all three space shuttles. Currently, a senior advisor for SpaceX, Reisman’s knowledge of aeronautics is vast. Recently, on an episode of the ‘Joe Rogan Experience,’ the former astronaut shared a few interesting stories.
Garrett Reisman is also known for living in space for 95 days. When asked about it, Reisman said “95 days is actually a bummer.” This was an unexpected reaction for the astronaut. Reisman then went on to explain the reasons why it was unfortunate for him.
“If you stay for a 100 days, they give you a patch!” said Reisman. He revealed that he was disappointed when the Space Shuttle Discovery showed up to bring him home. “Man, I just need 5 more days [to get the patch]” said Reisman laughing. “It did not work,” concluded the former NASA astronaut.
Garrett Reisman went on to explain how he lived under the sea and other details about space. Joe Rogan is known to have informative as well as combative discussions on his podcast. With over 1,500 episodes, The Joe Rogan Experience is the most popular podcast in the world.
