UFC loudmouth Sean Strickland does something sincere to another fighter for possibly the first time. Khamzat Chimaev revealed he destroyed former Champion Jiri Prochazka in a sparring session. He said that he also has the video of the same. However, Strickland has come out in support of Jiri. This is unusual behaviour from Strickland, who is known for Twitter banters and talking trash at others.
On Twitter, Strickland wrote, “To both their credit I sparred Jiri. He isn’t someone who does well in training. He doesn’t have a fighting style that he can use fully in training… You would think he wasn’t that good if you watched me spar him but training isn’t a fight and that’s where he shines.”
Sean Strickland defended Jiri Prochazka, stating Jiri does not perform well in training. Strickland has also done well against Jiri, just like Chimaev did. Strickland ended last year on a two-fight losing streak against Alex Pereira and Jared Cannonier. However, this year he beat Nassourdine Imavov and returned to the winning column.

Jiri Prochazka is still recovering from the devastating shoulder injury that kept him out of competition. He vacated his title last year to focus on rehabilitation and keep the division moving. It is unclear when Prochaska will return to competition, but all signs point to him returning later this year.
Sean Strickland tells Colby Covington to calm down

Colby Covington went off on Jon Anik for supporting Belal Muhammed after Belal said Colby got the title shot because he was white. However, Sean Strickland does not believe Covington’s threat to Anik.

Strickland addressed Colby getting beaten up by Masvidal in a street altercation and pressed charges against Masvidal. Strickland also believes Colby is not going to do anything serious to Jon Anik and it is all talk.
