Last weekend at UFC Paris, the former two-division champion, GSP was attending the UFC Athlete: Q&A. He discusses the fighters who he thinks are the GOAT of MMA and his thoughts on the UFC Paris main event. How retirement is treating him as well as Kamaru Usman’s recent KO loss at UFC 278.

When asked about Jon’s future in the Heavyweight division and a potential fight between him and Miocic or Gane. GSP replied, “Jon Jones is known to be the best in the sport, but he never fought at heavyweight. It will be interesting how he will adapt to heavyweight. I’m confident that, after a long layoff, Jon Jones has all the skills to come back like he was when he had his reign at light heavyweight.”

“I just don’t know how it would play out, It’s just one of these things that time could change the data. I’m very excited, It’s a great time to be a UFC fan.” the former two-division champion added.

After another question on how will Bones fare up against Ngannou and Miocic who are natural Heavyweights, GSP stated, “When I met Jon Jones the last time it was like a year ago, and he put on a lot of weight. He seems very comfortable at that weight. So, it led me to believe he’s going to come back as good as he was in the light heavyweight division, except with more mass, more muscle mass.

St Pierre concluded his answer by stating, “As a fan, I want to see him as he was at light heavyweight and perhaps even better than he was. But, he’s got great challenges ahead.”
