Jiri Prochazka has shocked the MMA community after turning a losing match in his favour. Jiri fought Glover Teixeira at UFC 275 for the light heavyweight title. Glover was the oldest first-time UFC champion, and he entered the octagon to defend his title for the first time after winning the belt against Jan Blachowicz at UFC 267.

Jiri and Glover were engaged in a very exciting fight and it was probably the best light heavyweight title fight in the history of UFC. The fight was very close until the very end and it was hard to predict who could have won. According to the official scorecard, Glover was winning the fight and would have successfully defended his title. However, Jiri did the unpredictable and choked Glover in the last 30 seconds of the fight to become the new light heavyweight champion. Jiri is 29 years old, and he is the first light heavyweight champion after Jon Jones to win the title before turning 30.

After losing the fight, Glover confirmed he will not retire and return to the octagon again. Glover, in his recent tweet, asked for a rematch with Jiri and also tagged UFC president Dana White in his tweet.

Jiri won the fight against Glover and everyone is sure he will fight the former light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz. As Glover called out Jiri for a rematch, Jan has also called out Jiri for a match for the light heavyweight title. Jan was going to face the winner of Glover vs Jiri for the title match and now he has called Jiri for a rematch.

Jan hails from Poland while Jiri is from the Czech Republic and Jan believes the fight could be the biggest fight in Europe. Jan has called the fight “The Battle for Europe” Jan tweeted: “Jiri, let’s do this! The Battle for Europe. The biggest fight in the Continent’s history.”

Jan was supporting the champion Glover Teixeira for his match at UFC 275, but after his loss, Jan has turned his focus toward Jiri. Jan wanted to fight against Glover to avenge his loss, but it seems he will have to fight Jiri for the light heavyweight title.
