“The only flyweight King”- Henry Cejudo predicts yet another rise to the flyweight throne for Deiveson Figueiredo

Henry Cejudo has predicted a win for Deiveson Figueiredo regardless of whoever wins at UFC 277. On Saturday night in Dallas, Texas UFC 277 is being co-headlined by Brandon Moreno vs Kai Kara-France for the Interim Flyweight title. This fight is their rematch, Moreno picked up the win in their last meeting. The winner of the Interim Title will then challenge the current Flyweight Champion Deiveson Figueiredo. Diaco won the belt back against Moreno at UFC 270. He claimed the gold back after losing it against Moreno at UFC 263. The two have fought each other in the octagon thrice. They are 1-1-1 in their fights till now.

Triple C is a retired UFC Double Champ with a record of 16-2. He is a freestyle wrestler with an Olympic Gold to his name. After retiring in May 2020 Triple c has now picked up a role as a coach at Jackson’s MMA Acoma gym. He is currently coaching some of the big names in the UFC such as Deiveson Figueiredo, Jon Jones, and Zhang Weili. Daico joined Cejudo’s gym after his loss to Moreno at UFC 263.

Notably, Moreno also had trained with Triple C in the past. After claiming the title back at UFC 270, Daico praised Triple C for his win. Triple C also talked about his success as a coach and their game plan for victory.

Following the win of Daico, the UFC was looking to book Moreno vs Figueiredo for the fourth time. However, due to injury Daico was not able to fight soon. Due to this, the UFC booked an Interim title match between #1 Brandon Moreno and #2 Kai Kara-France at UFC 277. The winner of this fight will face the champion Daico in the future.

Reacting to the fight, Triple C posted a video on Twitter earlier today in which Triple C can be seen meeting Daico and hugging each other at a UFC event in T Mobile Arena, Las Vegas. Sharing the video Triple wrote, “This throwback here goes to Figgy the one and only UFC flyweight King. Whoever wins the belt this Saturday will have to bend the knee!”

The winner of the Interim title will look to unify both the belts, while Moreno is looking to capture the title again. Kara-France is looking to bring the title to New Zealand and avenge his loss at the hands of The Assasin Baby.
