Jon Jones became the UFC Heavyweight Champion at UFC 285 with a quick submission victory over Ciryl Gane. Though Jones deserves all the credit in the world, Henry Cejudo is also instrumental in the success. Henry Cejudo has been coaching Jones since he left his long-time training gym at Jackson Wink MMA Academy based in New Mexico. Cejudo predicted how the fight could finish on his Youtube Channel.

Cejudo has been coaching for the last couple of years, coaching the likes of Deiveson Figueiredo and Zhang Weili for their fights. He has also been helping Jones move up to Heavyweight for quite some time now. In their final training session, Cejudo is seen giving Jon Jones tips about transitioning from a wrestling sequence, which played out just identically in the fight. Check out the video below:

There is no doubt about Henry Cejudo’s coaching skills. Moreover, he has now helped fulfill the destiny of Jones’s fighting career. With Jon looking to fight Stipe Miocic later this year to defend his heavyweight title, what tricks and tactics Cejudo will implement in the next Jon Jones training camp remains to be seen.

As of now, Henry Cejudo is preparing to fight Aljamain Sterling for the UFC Bantamweight Championship. Moreover, he shares his training video regularly on his Youtube Channel. Cejudo is returning to the Octagon after a 3-year hiatus, similar to Jones, and will look to capture the title he never lost in May.

Cejudo and Sterling will collide in May for the UFC Bantamweight Championship. It will be the first time Cejudo has fought in the UFC since 2020. Aljamain Sterling, on the other hand, will look to defend his title for the third time.

Both fighters were in attendance at UFC 285 to witness the crowning moment of Jon Jones. Cejudo and Sterling often crossed paths during the build-up to the event in backstage interactions, and it appears the heat is already building up between them. In their final exchange, security was involved making sure that they did not get into a scuffle.

The heat and rivalry will only add up before they fight in May to settle their rivalry. Both fighters are training at their respective gym for the fight. Cejudo will look to replicate the success of Jones after a hiatus of three years and Sterling will look to remain as the king of bantamweights.
