The usual King of Cringe, Henry Cejudo tried his hand at standup comedy – and it is safe to say that he could give Bill Burr and Kevin Hart a run for their money. He recounts his birth, Olympic gold, and loss to Demetrius Johnson in the funniest way possible.
Cejudo is known for his Olympic Gold and the Double Champ status he got in UFC and retiring at his highest. He was known for his real cringe comments, antics, and interviews he gave in the UFC…but not many were surprised when he tried his hand at standup comedy.
“I was born in the most rugged part of Mexico…Los Angeles”, Cejudo said. His start itself was enough to put the audience in splits. And then it was punchline after punchline after punchline. He made sure not to skip his Olympic Gold – as a ritual, which he does. And also fired a few shots at some cities and countries, without hurting any sentiments.

Looks like Henry Cejudo made sure to practice his delivery in front of his shower mirror since his cringe didn’t seep through. Rather, the attempt was so good he made fans think that he could established standup comedians a run for their money.
Fans react to Henry Cejudo’s attempt at standup
It is a common consensus that Henry Cejudo just CAN NOT stop his cringe, hence the name – King of Cringe. But what he achieved outside the octagon and on the stage has put the fans wondering if he really is as cringy as they thought he was.
Fans thought he was so good that Kevin Hart and Bill Burr better watch out for him. Some fans, who were avid standup comedy consumers, thought he was alright. And a few fans who were under the perception that he was a really serious guy, had it changed when they saw this. Not to lie, but his humorous tweets to Sean O’Malley when he controversially won against Petr Yan should’ve been an indication of his comic skills.
I'm surprised he didn't bring his belt on stage???

Will the fans see him again on the standup stage? Maybe. But as of now, he will be concentrating on his training with Jon Jones for Jones’ Ciryl Gane fight. But the fans can be sure to expect Henry Cejudo to make a return to standup again, hopefully, the next time will be much much better than the last.
