On Friday, UFC lightweight champion, Islam Makhachev was interviewed by Daniel Cormier ahead of UFC 284 weigh-ins. After talking about his plans in the UFC and how he wished the upcoming bout to play out, Makhachev watched a prediction video by Michael Chandler.
In the video, Michael Chandler provided his insights on how he believed the fight would go. Chandler predicted a win for Volkanovski by decision. Upon watching the prediction, Makhachev smirked and ridiculed Chandler.
“I don’t care what he says. This guy has a big money fight. Let him enjoy…He lost his last three fights, very smart. He and McGregor have the same streak,” Makhachev mocked Chandler. After DC mentioned the smartness with which Chandler entered the UFC, Makhachev trolled Chandler based on past UFC performances.
“Look how he fights, Brother. When people watch his fights they think this guy never trains. Like he comes from the streets. One round and he’s finished,” Makhachev continued trolling Chandler for his recent losses. The UFC has recently announced the Ultimate Fighter to tease the upcoming bout between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler. McGregor has also confirmed his return and posted videos to give updates on his training.
