“I know who is going to win” – Israel Adesanya is NOT excited about Robert Whittaker vs Marvin Vettori at UFC Paris
Robert Whittaker, Israel Adesanya, and Marvin Vettori
Israel Adesanya is so ahead of the rest of the division it is downright hilarious at this point! The middleweight champion has lapped around every contender in the division, not once but twice. Robert Whittaker vs Marvin Vettori at UFC Paris is an amazing fight to the fans but it seems like Izzy will barely bat an eye at that fight.
UFC Paris is just four days away and the card is an exciting one. Fight Night will be headlined by a heavyweight showdown between Ciryl Gane and Tai Tuivasa. In the co-main event, a postponed fight between top middleweight contenders, Robert Whittaker and Marvin Vettori. Both the fighters have recently fought for the title and failed in their attempt to snatch the belt off the middleweight king.
Israel Adesanya has beaten both Robert and Marvin, twice. What might be a title contender fight in a normal world barely has anything at stake given Izzy has very recently beaten both of them. In a show with MacLife, Izzy gave his thoughts on the upcoming fight card and predicted who wins the middleweight showdown between the Aussie and the Italian.
Israel Adesanya is confident that Robert Whittaker will win
Whittaker has been the number one contender ever since Adesanya became the undisputed middleweight king. Vettori, on the other hand, has bounced back with a win against Paulo Costa after his title fight defeat. Now, Vettori has a chance to jump up the rankings and earn another title shot against the winner of Adesanya vs Pereira. On the MacLife Preview show, Izzy admitted that he has barely any interest in this fight.
“I am not gonna bullsh*t you guys and give you all a ‘PC’ answer because I am not excited for the co-main event. I’ll watch it. I know who’s gonna win. Rob [Whittaker] is gonna win. That’s why it’s not exciting for me,” said Adesanya on the show talking to Dave Blakamoto and Oscar Willis.

It is still very uncertain what the winner of the Whittaker vs Vettori has in line for them after UFC Paris. It all depends on how the next middleweight title fight between Israel Adesanya and his nemesis, Alex Pereira goes down at UFC 281. If Izzy wins the fight, it is very doubtful that the promotion looks for a trilogy with either Vettori or Whittaker.
