Israel Adesanya is locked and loaded to show Alex Pereira a “horror movie” inside the UFC octagon at UFC 281 next weekend.
UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya will face his nemesis from his kickboxing days, Alex Pereira in the octagon for the middleweight title. The former GLORY champion is here to snatch the UFC belt from The Last Stylebender and Izzy is set to prove all his doubters wrong at UFC 281.
In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, the champ spoke about his upcoming fight and previewed the style of fight he wants to fight against his former rival. Adesanya says, “I want to make this a horror movie” about how his game plan for the iconic Madison Square Garden title fight. Pereira has brutally knocked out Izzy in the past and the Kiwi fighter wants to return the favor.
“I want to be the first person he sees when he wakes up. I want to make sure I’m right in his line of sight so he’s looking at me,” the champ said. Izzy is certain that he won’t let Alex Pereira repeat the past. The Stylebender says he will speak only language with “Poataan” and it is “violence”.

Israel “The Last Stylebender” Adesanya has been an amazing champion in the middleweight division. He has already etched his name in the UFC history books as one of the greatest of all time. The fighter has almost wiped out the entire middleweight division and has even taken down contenders twice. With five title defenses under his undisputed belt, Izzy sets out to make his 6th against Pereira.
Adesanya has been the undisputed champion since 2019 and has taken down elite contenders like Yoel Romero, Paulo Costa, Marvin Vettori, Robert Whittaker, and Jared Cannonier. His next title defense will be special as it is against his biggest rival. Pereira has the pride of being the only fighter to knock out Izzy in a professional bout hence making this title fight more special.
If Adesanya successfully makes his title defense at UFC 281, he will only be four away from the all-time record of Anderson Silva, who is widely considered the GOAT of the middleweight division.
