Cristiano Ronaldo is very fond of UFC superstar Conor McGregor. This became evident when he ensured the UFC fighter’s presence at Jennifer Lopez‘s exclusive birthday celebration. This star-studded gathering took place at the luxurious Nobu Villa, perched high above the Las Vegas skyline at Caesars Palace.
Ronaldo and McGregor had previously bonded over an impromptu octagon showdown during a visit to the fighter’s training camp. After this, a hidden chapter of their friendship emerged. In an interview with John Kavanagh, McGregor’s coach, conducted by Paul Kimmage for the Irish Independent, the intriguing story unfolded.
Kavanagh began by recounting their unexpected visit to J-Lo’s party and admitted thinking, “Wait! This a terrible mistake…” as they drove into the celebrity’s party, uninvited. He highlighted that Conor McGregor hadn’t received a formal invitation. When asked how they managed to attend, Kavanagh attributed it to Conor’s cheeky audacity and Cristiano Ronaldo’s agreeable nature.
“[Conor] simply said, ‘Ah, sure, I’ll come along,” and Ronaldo casually said, ”Ehh… OK.” As they approached the venue, they could not help but wonder about their unconventional entry. Kavanagh admitted to some apprehension, pondering how Ronaldo could invite them to such an event. Doubts even persisted as they neared the entrance, fearing the intervention of stern security.
To their surprise, their concerns were unfounded. Upon entering, J-Lo herself spotted Conor McGregor and rushed over, greeting him like a long-lost friend. The actress herself led him to the dance floor. Kavanagh even revealed that Ronaldo, the most followed individual on Instagram, casually mentioned that he followed Kavanagh’s work and Instagram.
When Conor McGregor had surprisingly surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo?

Conor McGregor is undeniably a prominent figure in the world of MMA. His professional journey has not only led to his rise in fame but also a substantial accumulation of wealth. However, it’s worth noting that his financial success didn’t always put him in the same league as the highest-earning athletes.
The Notorious is one of the most influential and talented figures in combat sports. In his own words, McGregor stated that he is number one on the Forbes list. The Irish superstar was number 35 at the time of this declaration.
Remarkably, McGregor remained true to his word. He eventually reached the summit of Forbes’ list of the world’s highest-paid athletes in 2021, with reported earnings of $180 million, encompassing salary and endorsements. However, McGregor has been away from the fight scene for a while now.
The UFC superstar underwent surgery after a devastating leg injury against Dustin Poirier and has been in recovery for the past two years. However, recent developments suggest that the UFC superstar is finally ready to make his illusive comeback.
