“Not good for anybody” – Joe Rogan believed Conor McGregor received special treatment from the UFC
Conor McGregor and Joe Rogan
Joe Rogan talks about Conor McGregor! McGregor is a name that has now become synonymous with the sport of mixed martial arts. Since his debut in 2008, the Irishman rose to fame and achieved great success. The first man to hold two titles together, McGregor, is a future hall of fame inductee. While he is famous for all his achievements, McGregor is also known to get in trouble.
The former 155-pound champion’s nickname ‘The Notorious’ perfectly suits his demeanor. McGregor has gotten into trouble with both his words and actions. Similarly, in 2018, McGregor found himself in trouble when he attacked a UFC bus after the conclusion of UFC 223 media day.
While his primary target was to go after arch-rival Khabib Nurmagomedov, Conor McGregor caused problems for a lot of fighters on the bus such as Ray Borg, Michael Chiesa, and Rose Namajunas. Even though he received scrutiny and punishments for his action, many believed that the UFC dished out special treatment to their start fighter. One man who thought on the same lines is a veteran broadcaster, Joe Rogan.

Joe Rogan on Conor McGregor receiving special treatment
Veteran UFC color commentator Joe Rogan has been loyal to the promotion since 1997. While he has been a mainstay in the UFC, Rogan never filters his views. In fact, he has developed a reputation for speaking what he believes is right.
Staying true to his nature, Rogan once discussed McGregor receiving special treatment after the bus attack. He said, “Switch it around; imagine if Ray Borg threw that dolly and Conor was inside. He’d be gone, his career would be over. That’s one of the more f–ked-up things about this, is that you know Conor is getting special treatment. He is, and that’s not good for anybody.” (h/t bleacher report)
