Joe Rogan exposes hypocritical double standards on men by citing the example of a 17-year-old entrapped into a drug arrest

Joe Rogan has always been vocal about the double standards when it comes to minors and sexual abuse in cases where the victim is a boy. Such was the case with a teenager in Florida, who was charged for buying weed, for his girlfriend. The only problem was she wasn’t his girlfriend, but an undercover cop playing the role to ultimately entrap him into the web of operations.

The case Joe is referring to, was about a 17-year-old, Florida school student named Justin Laboy was charged in an undercover operation for controlling the supply of drugs in the Park Vista Community High School.

The whole affair is messy and took place back in 2012, when Laboy was enchanted by the new girl in class who unbeknownst to him was actually an undercover cop. The boy was then asked by his “date” to buy some weed for her as they headed for Prom.

As most boys who are smitten in love, Laboy was no different and did the dumb thing, supplying a banned substance in the state of Florida and was promptly arrested by the woman who he thought was his partner. Now where it gets murkier is that the boy at 17, is a minor, and the cop, a full-grown adult at 25. Hence many were quick to point out how bad it would’ve been if the genders were reversed.

Rogan was among the many making that argument as he narrated the story on his podcast. Rogan then gave his assessment of the story saying, “That only works when you have a 17-year-old boy and a 25 year old woman” as he further explained how different the reaction would be had the genders been reversed.

“If you had a 25-year-old man, throwing d*** at your 17-year-old daughter and then he gets her to sell him pot and then he arrests her? There would be people lining the street with torches to kill that guy” said Joe Rogan of the entire situation.

Due to this, Laboy was jailed for a week and also received a felony charge on his record. The 17-year-old had aspirations to join the air force and make something of himself, all of which was lost with the felony charge.

Sexual abuse of teenage boys has long been a subject that is taken very lightly by many and dismissed. Incidents like this remind us how important it is to listen to victims regardless of their gender.

What are your thoughts on the entire story? Do you feel the police department acted in good faith or is this purely a case of entrapment?
