“USADA was outta bounds” – Jon Anik claims Dana White stands with Paulo Costa after the latter’s brutal remarks on USADA

Ahead of UFC 278, fighters recently participated in the ceremonial weigh-ins and measured their weight before the event. However, co-main event fighter Paulo Costa looked particularly pissed during the weigh-ins.
Despite all the criticism, Costa successfully made the required weight and then immediately went on to curse USADA for their insensible conduct. “F*** USADA” shouted Costa after giving the weight.
Soon after, the fighter went to Twitter in order to explain his behaviour. In the tweet, the Brazilian mentioned that earlier that morning officials of USADA came into his room and distributed his sleep in order to take his blood. Costa revealed that he was dehydrated and was in the middle of a weight cut and it was very frustrating for him. He said:
“F*** the the boss on Usada who sent their agents this morning at my sleep room 6 am to take my blood out!!! I was cutting weight very dehydrated and they wants took my blood ! F*** those guys!!! I never been caught by usada test I don’t need this f*** shit.”
“Paulo Costa does it again” – Paulo Costa reveals what he wants to hear from Jon Anik after winning at UFC 278
After the whole incident took place, UFC commentator and presenter, Jon Anik made a tweet about how Dana White reacted to USADA’s treatment of Costa. Anik revealed that after the weigh-in ceremony, White talked with Costa privately in order to talk about what happened. According to Anik, even White felt going into a fighter’s room early in the morning and disturbing the weight cut process wasn’t fair.
“Looked as though Dana White just pulled Paulo Costa aside at the ceremonial weigh-in to perhaps acknowledge that he, too, thought the early-morning, mid-weight-cut visit from USADA today was outta bounds. #UFC278” wrote Anik.
Under this tweet, Costa replied by explaining that he just wanted to hear Anik calling his name as the winner after the fight. He wrote: “My friend, I just wanna heard you said: “Paulo costa does it again” in that incredible good energy that you did always ?.”
Although, USADA doing this to Costa did cross the limit this might be because Costa has been pretty unprofessional in his fights lately. In his title bout against Israel Adesanya, Costa was drunk and in his last fight against Marvin Vettori, the Brazilian weighed 20 lbs more than the limit.
Regardless of it, Costa is looking pretty confident going into the fight and hopefully can end his losing streak this weekend.
