Gregory Rodrigues’ hands were on point from the first exchange in his bout against Julian Marquez, as he continued to get past Marquez’s resistance, landing lefts and rights with power and accuracy. Rodrigues simply timed his blows, and every time Marquez tried to return fire, the Brazilian made him pay.
On Saturday at UFC Austin, he showed off his knockout power by unleashing a barrage of blows to finish Julian Marquez in a jaw-dropping main-card performance. The fight was stopped at 3:18 of the first round after Rodrigues landed a straight right hand that caused Marquez to collapse to the mat, prompting the referee to stop the bout.

Marquez recently gave fans some insight into the backlash he received following his KO loss to Gregory Rodrigues over the weekend. On Instagram, he posted uncensored screenshots of his discussion with a fan.
In his diatribe, the fan also alluded to the 32-year-brief old’s virtual affair with popular singer and songwriter Miley Cyrus. What the fan had to say about Marquez’s performance, here’s the transcript for the same “Wake up sleepy head. You bum you just got pieced to the shadow realm. Ur dead. Na ur not good ur f***ing dogs**t and u sold the lay so hard. Go to hell you f***ing bum. F**k you. Miley Cyrus doesn’t want your c**k. You made greg rich tonight good s**t.”
Sharing upon the screenshot of the chats, the fighter stated, “This is part of being a fighter. This kid lost money betting on me and is super upset”, Here is the said tweet:-
Rodrigues acknowledged that combat sports are all about respect after the fight and thanked Marquez for giving him the opportunity to put on an extremely entertaining match inside the octagon. The same should be replicated by fans for the fighters who put on a show for them by putting their health and at times even life on the line.
